UBDA Seminar - The Current State and Trend of Artificial Intelligence
With a history of sixty-two years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made a profound impact on fundamental research, industrial applications, employment and social ethics. In this talk, Prog. Gao discussed three main stages of AI development, and highlight the development trend of AI around the world.

Wen Gao now is a Boya Chair Professor at Peking University. He also serves as the president of China Computer Foundation (CCF) from 2016-2020, and the director of Peng Cheng Lab at Shenzhen from March of 2018. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1991. He joined with Harbin Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1995, with Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) from 1996 to 2005, and the Peking University since 2006. He is Fellow of IEEE, ACM and Chinese Academy of Engineering.
